The San Antonio Botanical Garden has undergone a transformative expansion the last seven years through opening new garden spaces and renovating established gardens. This talk will discuss the interactive elements of three garden areas:  the Family Adventure Garden, WaterSaver Garden and WaterSaver Community. These spaces engage guests of all ages in different ways through fun, dynamic, and thought-provoking displays that, above all, are designed to spark a connection with the natural world that lasts well beyond the visit.

With expert speaker Andrew Labay

Andrew Labay joined the San Antonio Botanical Garden in 2017 as a Horticulturist responsible for the Lucile Halsell Conservatory plant collections. In 2024 he was promoted to Vice-President of Gardens. In this role, Andrew oversees the management of horticulture operations and plant collections across all gardens. He brings over 15 years of experience in horticulture with a strong background in greenhouse management and perennial fruit crops. Andrew holds a M.S. of Integrative Plant Biology from the University of Montpellier II, located in the south of France.
