Tree planting is a common job asked of landscape professionals. It’s also often done improperly leading to tree death, root disorders, and unnecessary heartache for their clients. In this presentation we’ll discuss how to determine the appropriate tree species for a site, how to inspect nursery stock for quality, how to properly plant trees for success, and what a tree needs after planting to thrive in its new location.

Speaker Bio:

Dave stumbled into arboriculture over a decade ago and fell in love with the work. Being a person who values nature and good people, he appreciates this industry for keeping him surrounded by both. Like a lot of arborists, Dave started his career as a ground hand and is currently the Urban (P)Forester for the City of Pflugerville, TX. He’s an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist, Municipal Specialist, and Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ), TNLA Texas Certified Landscape Professional, TCIA Tree Care Specialist, and graduate of The Davey Institute of Tree Science.
